This is an excellent book on designing courses with web 2.0 tools and social networking. It is aimed at higher education but has terrific explanations and ideas that can be used at the high school level. Also, it is completely research based. There is a corresponding website but it does not seem active. www.socialnetworking.wetpaint.com
